Attention, 9C, 9A, CW and Beyond!

Welcome to the Gratitude Blog! I decided to create this space for us, because, in my opinion, we all need to slow down a bit and make time for "thank you." Please leave comments that describe people, places, things, and ideas for which you are thankful. You may also react to one another's thoughts if you wish. Visit frequently and spread the word: www.bethankfuleveryday.blogspot.com.

I, for one, am grateful for YOU - the individual reading this right now because you are taking the time to be here. :)

Woot woot! Me first!. There's so much I could put here, but I think I'll just say: I'm thankful for my sisters. I love all my siblings of course, but my two sisters are my best friends. They're funny, smart, BEAUTIFUL and always there for me. I can honestly say if we weren't related I'd still want to be their friend. =-)

I'm grateful that Ms. Strout recognizes the beauty and value in every student and lets each one know it every day. I hope you all know how lucky you are to spend 42 minutes a day with her.

Ms. H is my teaching hero. She was my mentor teacher during my first year and was (and continues to be, on a daily basis) tremendously nurturing, inspiring, and just plain wonderful. So I am thankful for her. I am also thankful for her chocolate chip cookies-which are the best cookies I have ever had in my whole life. :)

I think what that vagabond girl has an interesting piont!!! I absolutly love my sisters. They are are always there when I need them and they always will. Even though sometimes they, cough cough vagabond, hog the bathroom and use the hot water, or if one watches a scary movie and has to sleep in the somebodies room!!jkjk. I will always have a place in my heart for Christine (my booty)and Jessica (my vanilla Bean). my sisters and my friends. <3

I'm thankful for the trivial decisions I have to make on a daily basis (waking up, brushing my teeth, writing on graph paper instead of lines paper, etc.) because they remind me that I have some control over my life even if everything else seems like it's falling apart.

I'm thankful for overwhelming love. I've never had my heart strangled by something so tender before (oxymoron, much?) and it's a nice feeling.

I'm thankful for Strout-dog, because there's no better role model in this world for me. I hope she realizes that her class is life changing - that she is life changing.

i am thankful for everything - absolutely everything. i cannot put it into words, but perhaps i can try:

boyfriend, friends, love, happiness, laughter, train noises [whoooooo!], late night bowling, speedboats that push legal speed limits, the lake in general, ocean city md, god, jesus, jim morrison, really bad rap, body piercings, flowers, sunshine, thunderstorms, short shorts, skinny jeans, hoodies, blink-182, bass guitar, terrible summer jobs with happy endings, bad comedy movies, really good books, inspirational teachers [two of them commented on this very blog!], family of course, acoustic guitar, giraffes, turtles, ducks, the opinion that shuts me down, honesty, LOVE...

i can keep going. . .
:]

i'm thankful for my fans, the ones who were at the talent show on April 17, 08. The ones who came to support me and gave me criticism afterwards. Without these people my feet would have never walked that stage that night.

I am thankful for my family, even if they are annoying at some points. And all of my friends who have been with my for all the fun, as well as helped me through the hard times in my life--I wouldn't be able to go on without them. And I'm most thankful for my girlfriend, who is the best thing to ever happen to me. :)

I am grateful for the earth, and the sky, and for wolves. I am grateful for my best friends, they are amazing, beyond words and I love them. I am grateful for all of the people who have taught me to be strong and that "sometimes giving up doesn't mean your weak, it means your strong enough to let go" and "sometimes even the strongest soldiers cry". And I am grateful that I am alive, because so many people in this world are not.

I'm thankful for sooo much. It's indescribable... I don't think I can even think of everything let alone write it down! Uhm I think I'll try.(:

I'm thankful for my mother, more so than anyone else. I've really let her down a couple of times, and even after that she hasn't given up on me. She is the most important person in my life, and an awesome role model. I find myself talking to her more than anyone these days, now that we've gotten closer. I feel so lucky to have a bond like that with my mum, and I love her very much.

I'm grateful for the friends that have stuck with me thru the worst of times, even the ones that aren't around anymore. These are the people who have shown me that everything happens for a reason. The friends that are still here are the ones who have kept me on the right track (or at least tried). These people have impacted my life like they wouldn't believe. I finally get to appreciate that.(:

I'm grateful for my boyfriend. I never in a million years thought that someone like him could walk into my life. He's shown me that there is a positive side to just about everything. I don't think I've ever met such a happy person.(: If ever I needed incentive to feel good about life, there he is. The best encouragement I can think of. I'm grateful for my restored smile.

I'm grateful for Ms. Strout and every person in my creative writing class. I have never seen a bond like all of us have in a classroom setting before, and it makes me so proud to be part of something like that. There are so many talented individuals there, who are wise beyond their years. The maturity with which we approach certain subjects never ceases to amaze me. Definitely an eye-opening experience.

I'm grateful to be alive.(: I'm also grateful for music, which has kept me going against all odds.

Well... now that I've written an entire novel (sorry!), I think I'll leave this post alone now hahaha.(:

I am grateful for students who write novel-like responses about all the things that make them feel thankful. Thank goodness. :)

I am thankful for Ms. Hodge. I feel like if i'm ever in a sticky situation or just have something I need to vent about, I can go to her with it. She's probably the the sweetest woman I've ever met in my life and everyday I look forward to my seventh period class. She helps everyone out and never makes any judgements. She isn't like all of the other teachers, she keeps her students in line while still having a special bonding with every single one of them. I'm actually considering taking Fine Arts II next year- just because she is gaurenteed to be my teacher. She always keeps me laughing and she has such a big heart. Thank God for such a down-to-earth being like herself.

I am grateful for my German Shepard, Aya, because she is always happy and excited to see my no matter what mood I happen to be in. I am grateful for my friends, and I am grateful for the chance to meet with all of these interesting people, as many of them are far more brilliant then I, and I have quite a bit to learn from them.

I'm grateful that poetry is there for me along with every subject that inspires me to write it. But I'm also thankful for warm sweatshirts, hugs from a friend, and those texts messages that you and your closest friend write in the crazy hours of the dawn.

I am so glad to see the Gratitude Blog is once again getting some attention. :) Today, I was thankful for the following: an unexpected e-mail from a far-away friend, my student who helped me deal with pumpkin guts on the radiator (don't ask...), good music on the ride home, and reading the last chapter of James Joyce's _Ulysses_. (Thank GOODNESS it's the last chapter... :)

I am thankful Google hasnt delete my high school blogger and sent me an email reminding me to check it out. Taking a look back on what we wrote in CW put an enjoyable cap on my night. Hope all is well in the High Point world. not even sure if this blog is still up and running... but a shot never hurt!
